3. Crowns or False Teeth: Tooth gems can only be affixed to natural teeth and are not suitable for use on crowns or false teeth. If you have dental restorations such as crowns or false teeth, tooth gems cannot be applied to them. Also, If you are currently wearing a retainer or invisalign.

However, it’s advisable to avoid using an electric toothbrush for the first 24 hours after the jewel has been attached. This precaution helps ensure that the jewel remains securely in place during the initial bonding period. Afterward, you can resume your regular dental care without any issues.


Tooth Gem Pre Appointment Checklist 

•	Eat something before your appointment. You will need to wait a minimum of one hour after the gem placement to eat in order for the tooth gem to set and cure properly.
•	Avoid acidic drinks and foods for at least 2 hours before the tooth gem appointment. For example, citrus drinks or food such as oranges.
•	Clean your teeth well before your appointment so that the area is free of any food or buildup before the application of the gem. Your tooth/teeth will be cleaned and prepped by the Technician as well.
