Permanent makeup (PMU) is a form of cosmetic tattooing that uses semi permanent pigments to provide a long lasting alternative to traditional daily wear makeup. Permanent makeup procedures generally last anywhere from 6 months to 5 years, depending on the procedure done and the clients lifestyle. Touchups are required to keep up the appearance of the permanent makeup procedure, as well as to increase longevity. Permanent makeup procedures are done by injecting semi permanent pigments into the skin using handheld devices containing, either a single needle, or several small compact needles. The touch up is needed 6-8 weeks past the original procedure. The feet, knees, fingers and elbows will fade faster than other parts of the body. Tiny Tattoo After Care • Do not remove the Tegaderm patch for 3 days • After removing the Tegaderm patch, gently wash the tattoo with mild soap and water • Pat dry, do not wipe • Continue to gently wash the tattoo once a day • No direct sunlight while healing • After healing use SPF daily to protect the tattoo • Do not wear tight clothes on the tattoo while healing • No swimming, hot tubs or baths until healed • The healing process can take up to 15 days, keep completely clean during this time Contraindications Do not book an appointment if you have the following medical conditions: * Pregnant/Breastfeeding * Autoimmune Disease * Skin Conditions such as psoriasis, eczema * Blood Disorders
